The 10.6 hectares (about 4.5 acres) of this public park spreads out along the banks of the Katsura River and is crossed by the Togetsu-kyo Bridge. The park consists of 3 areas: the Kameyama area located upstream on the Northern Bank which was opened at the end of the Meiji era (1867-1912) the Nakanoshima located in the middle of the clear stream and the Rinzenji Temple area located down stream on the northern bank. Visitors come to the park all year round to enjoy the picturesque sceneries . Cherry blossoms and a stone monument engraved with a poem by late Chinese political leader Chou En-lai are famous of Kameyama area.
