Usually some 2000 items of Kiyomizuyaki ware are displayed for sale. They are handmade objects by the ceramic artists who have tried to create innovative forms and styles while maintaining brilliant tradition brought by Nonomura Ninsei Ogata Kenzan and many other artists who originated Kiyomizu-yaki. In the danchi (housing complex) ceramic art classes are held for those who are interested in making ceramics with an expert's instruction. Every year from July 18 through 20 a three-day Tokimatsuri (Pottery Fair) is held. It is famous because of special selection and various events provided by the ceramic producers.
