Contents
Opened in 1903 following Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. Kyoto Municipal Zoo currently raises about 170 species and total 700 animals including lowland gorillas lions elephants giraffes. The zoo has 'Fantasy Land' where visitors can see small animals. The Animal Library is attached to the zoo. One of wellknown cherry blossoms viewing spots in Kyoto.
